Dr. Santu Das of IASST Guwahati receives prestigious SERB funding for ground-breaking research at the University of Newcastle, Australia

The Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST), Guwahati, is proud to announce that Dr. Santu Das has been granted a significant financial sanction under SERB International Research Experience (SIRE) program for the Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India for his upcoming visit at the University of Newcastle, Australia to conduct advanced level research on the simulation of tsunami wave propagation.
Dr. Das, a distinguished researcher at IASST, has been selected to participate in the prestigious program to conduct his research work titled “3D Time Domain Simulation of Near-Field Ocean Surface Waves Induced by Sudden Ocean Floor Disturbance or Sudden Pressure Change in the Atmosphere,” This remarkable opportunity will enable Dr. Das to collaborate closely with Professor Michael H. Meylan at the University of Newcastle for six months.
