The Knowledge Resource Center (KRC) of IASST formerly known as IASST Library is basically a Special Library & Information Center which started its humble beginning since the inception of the Institute in 1979. It has now been developed into a full-fledged Knowledge Resource Center. The KRC is equipped with rich specialized knowledge based resources and equipment’s and offers services to the faculty members, research scholars and staff of the institute. The KRC is also frequently used by faculty members, research scholars and students of other institutes, colleges and universities located in Assam and North East India. Its collection is strong in the areas of physical sciences, life sciences, environmental sciences, mathematical & statistical sciences and instrumentation sciences. Apart from these subjects there are books on computer sciences, electronics, scientific biographies, general science, literature, nature and fine arts. It also has a collection of non-book materials like CD-ROMs and DVDs. The KRC participates in inter-library networking activities and has a good rapport with other libraries/KRC in the city as well as outside.
