Content Contribution, Moderation and Approval (CMAP) Policy
Purpose
This policy outlines the framework for contributing, reviewing, and publishing content on the official website of the Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST). It ensures that all published material is accurate, relevant, and aligned with the institute’s mission.
Scope
This policy applies to all individuals and departments contributing content to the IASST website, including academic staff, administrative units, and authorized external collaborators.
Content Contribution
- Eligibility: Only authorized personnel, including faculty members, researchers, administrative staff, and designated contributors, may submit content.
- Types of Content: Contributions may include news updates, research highlights, event announcements, academic resources, and institutional reports.
- Submission Format: Content must be submitted in approved formats (e.g., Word, PDF, HTML) and follow the website’s style and accessibility guidelines.
Moderation Process
- Initial Review: Submitted content is first reviewed by the Web Information Manager or designated editorial team for completeness, clarity, and relevance.
- Fact-Checking: All factual claims, data, and references are verified to ensure accuracy.
- Language and Tone: Content must maintain a professional, inclusive, and respectful tone. Offensive, promotional, or politically biased material will be rejected.
- Compliance Check: The content is reviewed for adherence to institutional policies, copyright laws, and data protection standards.
Approval Workflow
- Departmental Clearance: Content must be approved by the head of the contributing department or unit before submission.
- Final Approval: The Web Information Manager grants final approval for publication after moderation.
- Urgent Updates: Time-sensitive content may be fast-tracked with approval from the Registrar or Director.
Publication and Maintenance
Publishing Timeline: Approved content is published within 3 working days unless otherwise specified.
Content Updates: Contributors are responsible for notifying the editorial team of any changes or outdated information.
Archiving: Obsolete content is archived periodically to maintain website relevance and performance.
Accountability and Feedback
- Contributor Responsibility: Contributors are accountable for the accuracy and integrity of their submissions.
- Feedback Mechanism: Users can report errors or suggest improvements by using the website’s contact form or emailing registrar@iasst.gov.in.
Policy Review
This policy is reviewed yearly or as necessary to reflect the changes in technology, institutional priorities, or regulatory requirements.
