The advanced level institutional biotech hub was established in the year 2011 with funding from DBT. The hub has a state of the art facility to conduct research in biotechnology. Research scholars of IASST, undergraduate and postgraduate students of other institutes and college teachers are trained on basic techniques of microbiology and molecular biology. Training programs are organized regularly. The hub has so far conducted 10 trainings/conferences/workshops/outreach programmes where more than 500 research scholars from the neighboring institutions as well as from other parts of India participated. The facility has been utilized for research by 12 postdoctoral, 35 PhD, 47 master researchers from all over India.
