(Report of the first day celebration of “Swacchata Pakwada” at IASST, Guwahati)

Inauguration of “Swachata Pakawada” was made by the Director (in-charge) Prof. Heramba Bailung. In his lecture Dr. Bailung describe his experience, observation and explain why we need to focus cleaning of our surroundings among the research scholar and employee of institute. Before this, Dr. Neelotpal Sen Sarma, nodal officer of the program from IASST explain the detail of the “Swachata Pakawada” program of Govt. of India and DST, work schedule and planning. Later, waste management guideline developed at IASST both English and Assamese were distributed among the audience followed by demonstration lecture from Dr. Dharmeswar Das, Consultant, IASST. Notice was circulated to help the inspection team on 2nd May 2018 for the assessment of the maintenance and cleanliness as per waste management system already adopted by IASST by the student, employee of the various division/ group.
