Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week every year is part of the multi-pronged approach of the Central Vigilance Commission where key strategy is to encourage all stakeholders to collectively participate in the prevention and fight against corruption and to raise public awareness regarding the existence, causes and gravity of the threat posed by corruption. IASST observes Vigilance Awareness Week with the nation from 29th October to 3rd November 2018 and as part of the observation, “Integrity Pledge” was taken at 11:00 am led by director Dr. N.C. Talukder. Theme of this year Vigilance Awareness Week is “Eradicate Corruption-Build a New India (भ्रष्टाचार मिटाओ – नया भारत बनाओ)”.

After the Integrity Pledge, an awareness talk was organized in the Auditorium at 12:45 pm. Shri Vinod Seshan, IAS and IT Secretary / Director, DITEC & Chief Executive Officer of Guwahati Biotech Park, Guwahati delivered lecture on the various aspects of the vigilance activity of the Central Vigilance Commission. Director, IASST welcomed the gathering and Dr. Neelotpal Sen Sarma, Vigilance officer of IASST introduced the speaker to the audience. Dr. Diganta Goswami, Registrar, IASST offered vote of thanks at the end of the meeting.
