In a significant stride towards fostering entrepreneurship and innovation in the field of biosciences, BioNEST-IASST (Bioincubator of the Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology) hosted the students and faculty members from the Department of Biosciences, Assam Don Bosco University, Sonapur, Assam, on 24th August 2023. This gathering marked an ‘Entrepreneurship Exposure’ visit as part of the bio-entrepreneurship awareness program, ‘Igniting Young Minds 3.0 (IYM 3.0)’ initiated by Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU).
The event aimed to ignite the thinking skills of the student participants and inspire them to consider entrepreneurship as a viable career option.
The talk session featured a captivating talk session starting with inaugural speech by Prof. Devasish Chowdhury, from the Physical Science Division of IASST, followed by insightful presentations delivered by Mr. Sagar Kumar, Manager (I&O) and Dr. Tania Paul Das, Manager (S&T) from BioNEST-IASST.
The highlight of the day was an interactive experience-sharing session followed by led by three accomplished entrepreneurs incubated at BioNEST-IASST and a thorough lab tour of the centre. Mr. Trailukya Dutta, founder of Tholua Pratisthan Pvt. Ltd., Dr. Madhumita Saikia, co-founder of Arleng Symphony LLP, and Mr. Sanjib Das, co-founder of T C Bakery Pvt. Ltd., shared their real-world experiences and challenges faced during their entrepreneurial journeys. This session provided invaluable perspectives on tackling real-world obstacles and navigating the path to success.
